TTBC Senior Eagles Continued Their Good Form With a Win Over the Feisty Astros Velocity

TTBC Eagles Seniors 8 – 6 Astros Velocity

After a four-run first inning by the Astros, the Eagles clawed their way back over 3 innings through some timely hitting by Daniel Looram (2 for 3, 1 RBI), Andes Chai (2 for 4, 3 RBIs), and Khai Harris (1 for 2, 1 RBI).

Khai Harris (2.1 IP, 0 R) also came in with the bases juiced in the bottom of the 2nd and struck out the very dangerous Kai Itakura Prepscius with a vicious curveball that tailed into the right-handed batter.

After taking a three-run lead at the bottom of the 4th inning, the Astros came back and scored one run each in the top of the 5th inning and 6th inning to make it a tight game as the time limit ticked over 2 hours.

With two out and the bases juiced again after a few walks by fireball set-up man Jacob Flach (1.2 IP, 2 ER), the coaching combination of Waag and Shohtoku decided enough was enough and brought in closer Ian “Goggles” Nam, who promptly threw three nasty cutters in a row to strike out the final Astros hitter.
