TTBC Eagles Juniors Take Phoenix by Storm, Winning 14-4

TTBC Junior Eagles 14 – 4 SSPBC Phoenix

The Eagles (5-0) bats had unstoppable momentum that carried the Eagles away with a resounding W against the Phoenix.

The Eagles’ offense came to play. With a total of 12 hits, the team started off strong in the first inning, with Ryan Lem’s double bringing in the first run. The inning ended with Khai Harris, Andes Chai, David Ma, Gabe Gusak, and Ryan Kim all getting into the action with hits.

Takeo Blakely catching in his first game back from injury.

Singles by Charles Tian and Takeo Blakely in the second inning continued the team’s batting streak, and the game was pretty much sealed by then. Highlights include Chai’s inside-the-park home run in the second inning and Lem’s five RBIs for the game.

Leading the charge on the mound was Ryan Kim, who took the victory as the starting pitcher, striking out three with no walks, followed by relievers Lem, Son, and finally Harris, shutting the game down in commanding fashion.

Next week, the Eagles have a break as most of the team heads to Manila for the Turkey Tournament.
