Minors Typhoons Hit Big this Weekend With Two Wins Over the TTBC Legends and Lions Black.

The Typhoons had a back to back at Ho Man Tin this weekend, putting up a 2-0 record.

Minors Typhoons 12 – 16 TTBC Legends

A pitching duel between Natalie Wang and Logan Yein started the game and kept the score tight through four innings. Osborne Coen made a brilliant catch at second to rob the Legends of a hit and crushed a double to help power the Typhoons to an early lead.

To round out the game, Luke Feller, Liam McDermond, and John Sweeney combined to close the game and give the Typhoons the 12-6 win. At the plate, Kiera Lau made solid contact, getting her first RBI of the year, and Feller and McDermond each slapped two doubles to power the Typhoon offense.

Minors Typhoons 18 – 2 Lions Black

In the second game of a back-to-back, the fourth-place Typhoons routed the third-place Lions Black squad by a score of 18-2. Bats came alive across the line-up. Franklin Karnitz belted two drives that bounced to the fence, giving him a home run and a double.

Youjia Peng went 3-3 and was a home run shy of a cycle. Jordan Liu and Luke McDermond also picked up solid singles and scored a run to show their continued growth.

On the mound, Luke Feller pitched his best outing of the year, and Liam McDermond finished off the squad, helping to show the pitching depth of the Typhoons.
