TTBC 12U White Come Away With a Third Place Finish

The TTBC 12U White team had great experience in the Manila tournament and had high hopes going into the Turkey Tournament.

With many of the players on the team moving up to the next age level, this was their last chance to play at the 12U level with their friends. They came away finishing third place overall.

Round-Robin Stages

In pool-play, the team had a record of 5-1 with wins over Phillipines Admirals (13-2), Philippines Arrows (15-0), SAS Eagles Red (15-2), and Philippines Bughaw (17-8). Their only loss, which was a brutal one because it was walked off, was against SAS Eagels White (5-6).

Playoffs

With a three seed going into the knockout rounds, TTBC easily advanced with a win over the Phillipines Admirals (15-0).

However, in the the next round/semi-finals the team faced a fired up Philippines Wildcats. The game was a tight game throughout and despite out-hitting the the Wildcats seven to three, TTBC unfortunately lost in a walk-off 3-4.

Relegated to the third-place game, TTBC came back alive to steam roll over the SAS Eagles Red team 11-5.

Home Runs and Strikeouts

Highlights during this tournament were the nine home runs by several players: Donny Ma and Ryan Lem both went yard three times, while Adrian Unertl, David Ma, and Gabe Gusak had one nuke each. As for pitching, the team recorded 55 strikeouts over eight games.
