As a wrap up to the baseball season,  the TTBC has historically taken several teams to the annual Shanghai Slam in May.  The Shanghai Slam is a competitive tournament across all divisions and this year was no exception.  The TTBC sent two 10U teams the Eagles and Pirates.  Each team played at least 4 games over the weekend and they stayed at the Marriott Pudong East.

The 10U competition was tough with 8 teams in the bracket.  The 10U Eagles started out the tournament with a tough 8-5 loss against AKS.  However, they came back strong on day 2 with an exciting 8-7 win over WBC and a convincing 10-6 win against the Hawks.  The Eagles came up short in their final game against the TTBC Pirates, but were able to put a competitive team on the field for every game.

The 10U Pirates also faced some tough competition throughout the tournament.  They easily beat the Sluggers in their first game and tied with CBC in the second game, which placed them in the bottom bracket due to run differentials.  The following day, the Pirates won two games in a row.  On Sunday, the Pirates won the first game against AKS at 8-1 and faced CBC in the finals.  The Pirates fought hard and won the game at 12-0 ….. to win the Championship!
