Dear TTBC Families,
It’s time to prepare for the annual spring fundraising dinner, and we need your help to make it a success!
Some of you might be wondering, “Why does TTBC need to fundraise when we all pay fees at the beginning of the season?” Good question. There are many expenses during the baseball season that the player fees simply cannot cover. Field fees, for example, can be quite high here in Hong Kong due to limited space. TTBC also uses money from the fundraiser to cover uniforms, equipment, special coaching sessions, overseas tournament fees and more.
In addition to helping us raise money, the annual fundraising dinner serves as a great time for the TTBC families to get to know each other, as well as an opportunity to recognize coaches, players, families and volunteers for their hard work and dedication. Our TTBC family is growing and we find the dinner provides a rare opportunity for all of us to come together as a community and share fun stories, talk about our victories and bond over our favorite sport.
How can you help? The annual dinner features both a live and a silent auction, as well as a lucky draw, so we need help collecting goodies to auction off or give away. If you have anything to donate, please let us know (perhaps an unwanted holiday gift?!). Thanks to our generous TTBC families, last year during our live auction we sold a four-night stay in a Bali villa, a week-long stay in a Niseko ski villa, a Yeti cooler, and much much more. Our silent auction winners took home fitness class passes, club seats to see the Red Sox vs the Blue Jays, a family photography session and more. We also gave away hundreds of lucky draw prizes, including shopping vouchers, sports gear and other fun items.
If you cannot donate anything yourself, we would be grateful if you could ask friends and acquaintances if they might want to sponsor prizes, big or small. Many companies are happy to donate goods and services in exchange for the publicity they receive (including advertising space in our TTBC fundraiser booklet).
If you have any questions, or need to bounce ideas off of us, please do not hesitate to get in touch. We couldn’t ask for a better group of players, families, coaches and supporters. Thank you for making the TTBC family strong.
Warm wishes,
