Majors Typhoons emerged victorious over the YMCA Revive

The TTBC Typhoons (2-0-1) emerged victorious with a commanding 22-6 score against the YMCA Revive (0-3)!

Troy Cheng (2-0) took the mound for the Typhoons but didn’t have his sharpest outing, and coupled with some defensive lapses, the team allowed three runs to the pesky YMCA Revive before finally escaping the top of the 1st inning.

However, the Typhoons swiftly answered back in the bottom of the 1st by scoring five runs, by sending nine batters stepping up to the plate.

Troy Cheng regained his composure in the 2nd inning, striking out two batters and preventing any further runs. 

The Typhoons’ offense then ignited, unleashing an impressive surge by scoring 15 runs against the YMCA Revive.  They batted around the order three times, and every batter reached base, contributing to their offensive onslaught.

In the 3rd inning, Ryder Lee entered the game as a reliever, allowing three runs due to a longer layoff after the extended 2nd inning.  Nevertheless, he managed to escape the jam without further damage. 

The Typhoons wasted no time in responding, countering with three runs in the bottom of the inning, triggering the mercy rule and concluding the game.

Notable individual performances include Lucas Liu, who secured his first hit in the Hong Kong Little League.  Parker Shapiro, Fred Fu, and Aaron Lee each collected an impressive three hits during the game.  Troy Cheng showcased his pitching prowess by striking out four opposing batters.

Next week, Typhoons look to take on Sha Tin Martins (0-2) in what is expected to be a closer matchup.
