TTBC Eagles Win a 2-Game Series Against the Angels
TTBC Junior Eagles 9 – 7 Angels (Game 1)
TTBC Junior Eagles 10 – 1 Angels (Game 2)
The TTBC Junior Eagles (11-0) played a 2 game series against the Angels and came out on top in both games.
First Game -TTBC Junior Eagles 9 – 7 Angels
In their first game, the TTBC Eagles Juniors opened up with a sizable lead and staved off a late rally by the Angels to secure a 9-7 victory on Saturday afternoon. The Angels tried to claw their way back, but the Eagles offense had already done major damage.
Ace Khai “K-Train” Harris handcuffed the Angels hitters, going four innings of no-hits while punching out eight. He worked in and out of trouble all game, stranding six baserunners despite walking three. “I felt good out there; it was a bit chilly as I forgot my cozzy compression shirt, but I sucked it up and made it work”, said K-Train Harris.
Second Game -TTBC Junior Eagles 10 – 1 Angels
The TTBC Eagles Juniors soared to an impressive 10-1 victory over the Angels on Sunday at Lion Rock 1.
Thanks in large part to Andes “Soul Crusher” Chai. Soul Crusher went 3 for 4, including a 315-foot bomb out to left field that sucked the soul out of the Angels. “I didn’t think it was going out, but it kept going. I’m just glad I helped my peeps to a W”, said Soul Crusher.
The Eagles offense was firing on all cylinders, collecting 12 hits. Gabe “Gabey Baby” Gusak, Takeo “TNT” Blakely, and Roy “G-Money” Son each had multiple hits, and let’s not forget Charles “The Crusher” Tian, who had a key hit to drive in a run.
Ryan “Mr. Endurace” Kim was on the mound for the Eagles, completing a full game while giving up only three hits and one run over six innings.
