Hello TTBC Families,
We are getting closer to the Annual Fundraising dinner, which will be on May 5th at the Hong Kong Ocean Park Marriott. We will be selling tickets for the dinner and raffle tickets soon via the TTBC website soon, so keep your eyes open for that email.
In addition to providing an evening of fun and bonding for our players, parents and volunteers, this annual fundraising event raises money to pay for many of the things that aren’t covered by the fee we all pay at the beginning of the season. For example:
- Field fees – as you might have noticed, playing fields in Hong Kong are few and far between! Field time is hard to schedule and expensive.
- Uniforms and equipment
- Professional coaching – Each year we try to supplement our volunteer coaching. This year we had special coaching sessions by Jim Mann and B1.
- Tournament entry fees – This season we sent teams to Manila, Singapore and Bangkok(18U). Soon TTBC will head to Shanghai and Tokyo(18U)!
We have already collected great prizes for our live and silent auctions and more are always welcome! We are still looking for donations for our “giveaway” baskets. These are baskets of goodies (such as toys and other small gifts) that we give out during the night to lucky draw winners. If you have any unopened toys, games or small items (cosmetics, fun accessories, unwanted holiday gifts maybe?) please let us know and contact your team parent or one of the committee members.
