Dear TTBC Players, Coaches and Parents,
The dog days of summer are coming to an end and the Typhoons are beginning to roll in – this can only mean one thing…. It is time for baseball!!!
The 2019/2020 Seasons looks to be one of our greatest. Here are just some of the fun you can expect in the coming year:
- Four home tourneys – Two minors tourneys, one majors tourney and one seniors tourney.
- New Field time – Thanks to all of your support, TTBC has been granted additional time slots on Sunday which will be used for some games for HKLL and for the CP division.
- 9 Overseas Tournaments – Dongguan (2), Manila, Singapore (2), Dubai, BKK, Tianjin and Shanghai.
- Expanded Seniors Team – TTBC will play in the HKBA league in Hong Kong and will also participate in an MLB High School tourney and a potential one week tour of the West Coast to play against some of the top 18U All-star teams in the United States.
- Professional Coaching – Steve Fish, the Australian national coach, will be coming to coach our coaches and players in September and former Mets Pitching coach Tony Yates has agreed to come in January.
- All stars – Our Majors and Seniors teams have been invited to play in an international world series in Cooperstown next July.
To get everyone onto their respective teams we plan to have the tryouts on Saturday, August 24th at HKIS Tai Tam Field. The schedule for Saturday will be as follows:
- 8am Coaches Meeting
- 8:30 – 9:30am – 7 & 8 year old assessment
- 9:30 – 10:30am – 9 & 10 year old assessment
- 10:30 – 11:30am – 11 & 12 year old assessment
- 11:30 – 12:30pm – 13 – 15 year old assessment
- 1:00 pm – American Club Multipurpose Room – meeting of those interested in playing 18U
- 1:00 pm on Sunday the 18th will be the draft:
- 1:00 – Juniors – Bill Barney coordinating
- 2:00 – Majors – Jason Carter coordinating
- 3:00 – Minors – John Mefford coordinating
- 8:00 pm on Monday all players will be notified of their teams.
T-ball and CP players do not need to come to the assessment day. They will do their first session on the 31st of August from 8 to 10am.
The fees for this year will be:
- 8,000 HKD for Minors, Majors, Juniors
- 6,000 HKD for Seniors
- 4,000 HKD for CP Players

League Age is based on the child’s age as of Sept 1, 2020.
