Dim Sum Tournament Summary

Played over two and half days during Easter weekend, the first annual Dim Sum Invitational 12U tournament was a resounding success.

The tournament brought together talented players from across the region and showcased six teams, including two squads from TTBC, two visiting international clubs (Dongguan Dragons Baseball Club and Singapore American School), and a pair of local teams (Sham Shui Po Baseball Club and Japanese Baseball Club HK).

In the championship game, the Dongguan Dragons emerged as champions with an exciting 8-3 win over TTBC Blue. Singapore American School received third-place honors after a dramatic 4-3 win over TTBC White.

Another highlight were the 36 home runs that were hit over all 20 games during the tournament, of which TTBC went yard 11 times. (Adrian Unertl [4]; Ryan Lem [4]; Colton Pigott [2]; and Gabriel Gusak [1])

The tournament also included a skills competition, which included base running, throwing, and of course, a home run derby.

The overwhelmingly positive event will undoubtedly become a beloved annual tradition, with plans already in the works for next year’s tournament.
