Congratulations to the 14U Eagles who concluded a successful tournament going 6 and 1 and winning the Championship by beating Singapore Nexus 5 to 3 in the finals. The 12U “older kids” Typhoons team had a fine showing in Singapore this year furthering their skills and experience. All in, they had 140 plate appearances batting .403 and scored 27 runs. They lost the first two games on day one then won two the following day to receive a third-place rank in the division.
Our young 12U Eagles had a challenging tournament yet grew better as the tourney carried on. The team played every team hard yet was susceptible to an occasional big inning which cost the team early in the tourney. The boys played hard every game despite seven hours of rain delays on the first two days.
The 10U Singapore Eagles had a great tournament finishing in 3rd place. They won their last game 5-4 coming back from a deficit and making key defensive stands in the last inning culminating on a play at the plate. The Eagles lost to the eventual winner 2-0. That game featured great pitching and defense and
